I was appointed an authorised Marriage Celebrant in 1995, following my retirement from a military career, first in the Navy and then the Air Force. Since the first wedding I conducted at the Mary Ryan Bookshop in Paddington, I have conducted over 700 weddings, 200 baby and child namings and a large number of marriage vow renewal ceremonies and civil funerals; I get a great deal of pleasure in helping to plan and then conduct the rites of passage in peoples' lives.
Although based on the northside of Brisbane in Wavell Heights, I will travel anywhere- the furthest I have been was to a wedding at Leura, New South Wales.
Whilst I could never be described as bubbly or vibrant, I offer dignity, experience and the sense of occasion which your celebration deserves. I am familiar with all legal requirements so there's no chance of later complications arising.
I haven't yet conducted weddings in hot air balloons or from the back of a jet ski, but I reckon I have visited just about every wedding venue in Brisbane and a fair number of backyards, and I look forward to new experiences.

Every ceremony I conduct is the result of consultation with you, and I am flexible enough to accommodate your wishes wherever possible.
You may wish to have an obligation-free meeting with me before we enter into a formal arrangement - that way, we can be sure you will be comfortable with your choice of a celebrant. Once you have confirmed your booking with me, we may have two further meetings before your wedding date. The final draft for your wedding service will thus be the result of my involvement with you in planning your ceremony, and you can look forward to a relaxed and happy ceremony which you will recall with pleasure.
